How the services fit together

Most owners come to us for one thing and end up using three. A building we lease is usually a building we then manage. A building we manage is often one we later reposition or help sell. Keeping commercial real estate services under one roof removes the handoffs where information gets lost — the leasing broker who never speaks to the property manager, the asset manager who learns about a capital problem from a budget variance rather than from the person who found it.

It is also what makes our CRE management different in practice rather than in a brochure. We are owner-operators. Every recommendation on this page is one we have had to live with on our own balance sheet, which is a useful discipline — it is much harder to recommend deferring a roof when you are the one who pays for the ceiling tiles.
